Iona Beach Intimate Wedding…this couple has all the luck with a little rain on their wedding day. Ryanna and Brendan are very easygoing and this worked well for them when they had to change their wedding plans due to the pandemic. Both love the ocean so the original plan was to marry in Hawaii. When everything had to change, they opted to go ahead with their wedding and simply moved the intimate ocean-side ceremony right into their own backyard of Iona Beach.
Everyone anxiously kept an eye on the weather leading up to their special day, and it was supposed to be sunny! Mother nature had other plans, though, and unfortunately, it started to pour during the ceremony. Surrounded by their closest family and friends and led by her parents, Ryanna braved the rain and walked down the aisle, with smiles all around.
The couple embraced the weather and said their vows excitedly while standing between the ocean and mountains. Immediately after signing their marriage license, the sun came out! With blue skies and the gorgeous mirror of the beach shallows, they created some amazing images by the sea. The umbrellas ended up adding a special touch to the day.
We love the bride’s veil, the kiss under the umbrella, the blue begowned bridesmaids and the seashells. The newlyweds look marvelous along the water’s edge and in the field of grass nearby. A perfect beach wedding right here in British Columbia.
With the spread of COVID-19 not slowing down anytime soon, it seems like intimate weddings and elopements will become increasingly popular, and perhaps for the better! Ryanna and Brendan are a real west coast couple and their Iona Beach Intimate Wedding is an inspiration to us all.
