Romantic Wedding Day for Cate + Matt

Romantic Wedding Day for Cate & Matt is a jaw dropping gorgeous wedding! They chose a sunny September day – the long weekend. Downtown Vancouver never looked so good as a backdrop to all this pretty.

Cate’s wedding dress, designed by Willowby by Watters, is a simply gorgeous boho style in light lilac with flowers embroidered all over. There are cutouts at the back and sides of the dress making it very romantic with a bow. The bride wore amazing bridal sandals, a multi-coloured wildflower bouquet, and a stunning flower crown. The pearl necklace is a gift from Matt’s grandmother, who wrote a lovely letter to go along with them.

The groom and his guys are just as stylish in their navy blue suits. They each have custom cufflinks, different colourful socks, and matching bow ties. The most important detail of all? The dog Arlo! We love the awesome dog and groom getting ready photos!

Everyone headed to Van Dusen Botanical Gardens for the wedding party and couple photos. A statue head was the perfect prop for a photo op. The sunny day lit the tall grass up giving it a heavenly feel full of vibrant greens and yellows.

The reception took place at the Medina Cafe – a unique venue for a unique couple! They truly brought this place to life with their own personal style. The ceremony area had a black curtain with 4 brass rings, twinkle lights and flowers surrounding each one. The cake was out of this world delicious with their initials on top. Lots of romance was added to the room with each table boasting a glass candle on top with twinkle lights inside.

The sentimental ceremony, so full of laughter and tears, was emotional and filled with joy for everyone present. The night ended with speeches, dancing, and both Cate and Matt changed into their comfy shoes.! The newlyweds ended the evening with a romantic first dance. A perfect end to a perfect romantic wedding day!
