Foxgloves are Forever Bridal Inspiration…a vintage boat, lush floral crown, gorgeous lace gown and a field of foxgloves. This is one of the most beautiful creative shoots and we just can’t take our eyes off of it! In fact, it only took seconds for us to message the photographer to ask if we could have it in the 2021 Vancouver Island print magazine.
The bride in this wedding palette is wearing a locally designed She Wore Flowers gown. Each piece of floral lace on the outer dress has been meticulously hand sewn onto a very light nude tulle, offering a stunning depth of textures and colors that change ever so slightly as the bride move freely in this soft fit and flare gown. 
The story of the inspiration behind this palette is described by the photographer from Island Moments: “So once upon a time two women traded a photo session with one (lovely) woman in exchange for her beautiful blue boat. The boat was a little heavy and it wouldn’t necessarily float (without a little TLC & superglue that is!) especially since it spent a few lonely, wet winters in the wild forests of Nanoose. But every so often we would walk by this sweet lil vessel and try to think of a plan for her {other than becoming the huge flower pot} that Lisa’s hubby kept threatening as her fate. Then it hit us! Like a broad-sided oar. Flowers. Float this boat in a field of fleurs. With a @sheworeflowersbride gown. Of course. Add in the prettiest most whimiscal cake {and only a Coastal Cake Company creation will do}. Then a floral crown from our fave genius ladies at Petal & Kettle: Parksville Florist & Tea Co.. Lastly, bring in the sweetest real life lovers (how does the island have all these beautiful people?!) and voila.”
We are in love with the gorgeous floral crown and the light blue cake sitting on a solitary ivory chair. The vintage blue boat ‘floating’ in a field of flowers is beautifully artistic. What an advertisement for having your wedding during floral season…imagine having your wedding party in a field of flowers.
