Romantic Oak Bay Wedding for Christopher and Carissa…this real love story culminated in a beautiful ceremony and reception with family and friends. The Oak Bay Beach Hotel showcased all the care and detail that went into this special day.
Favorite things in this wedding include the ‘first look’ shots along the beach, how much fun the guys had getting ready and the caricature artists at the reception (very original idea and guaranteed to provide plenty of entertainment for guests!).
Let’s talk about the wonderful Sposa gown with lace edged layers in the skirt, off the shoulder details and an ethereal feeling to the entire dress. Carissa paired this vision with a cathedral veil that followed the lines of the gown and drop earrings. The bridesmaids wore blush pink and carried bouquets of roses, peonies, and eucalyptus.
The weather certainly blessed this couple providing blue skies as a backdrop to the ceremony held above the waters edge. Floral lined the edges of the aisle as the bride walked over the footbridge and towards her groom.
The reception was held within the ballrooms of Oak Bay Beach Hotel. The walls are covered in detailed woodwork and certainly provide a rich traditional feeling. This reception provided some over the top moments such as the macaron and donut bar with wedding cake. All of gooey wonderfulness was perfectly stacked into a colour coordinated cabinet! And we loved the head table live edge with roses and greenery all along. Congrats to Christopher and Carissa – a romantic west coast wedding!
