Whimsical + elegant reception inspiration – nothing shines brighter than bold colours showcased against crisp white. Sprayed stems in unexpected colours is one of this year’s top wedding trends. Utilizing chic disco balls with floral details, the inspiration for this styled shoot was colourful whimsy in a fresh, modern way.

Metallic details are mixed with softer textiles, we were able to bring a blast of colour to life in an approachable way. No details were overlooked in the design of this inspirational reception table. Pink and purple tones show up in the floral, paper suite and the stunning wedding cake. A perfect balance between colour and softer tones to create a unique and bold aesthetic of elegance.

We especially love the natural beauty of the bride in her lace gown with a cloud of illusion over the skirt – the same illusion which graces the reception table. The drama of the cityscape behind her draws us to the soft feel of her makeup and hair. The sweet peas and roses in the bridal bouquet are the perfect finishing touch.

The Wallace, one of North Vancouver’s newer wedding venues, was the perfect backdrop for this shoot with its modern, blank canvas feel. Whimsical + elegant reception inspiration at it’s best.
