Seaside Romance at Telegraph Cove is inspiration for a truly unique west coast wedding. Kim and Darren naturally beautiful wedding has the backdrop of Bauza Cove Beach – a secluded beach surrounded by North American rain forest.

The ceremony took place on Telegraph Cove’s historic boardwalk with ocean views as far as the eye can see. Kim and Darren were joined, not only by family and friends, but by their beloved dog who proudly donned tux and bow tie!

Seaside Romance Wedding Couple Leaving Ceremony at Telegraph Cove on Vancouver IslandBridesmaids wore pale blue grey gowns while Kim was a vision in a lovely V necked gown with artfully flowing skirt. The gals in the wedding party were happy to carry gorgeous bouquets of pink protea, blue thistle, white daisies and eucalyptus. (Shout out to Thrifty Foods Floral on Salt Sprint Island!) The guys in this wedding party showed off their their light grey suits with style. The entire colour palette of light, pastel and full of movement are picture perfect for a beach side ceremony.

Most couples might not think that a skeleton belongs at their wedding but Kim and Darren knew that it was perfect. They even carried the whale theme through their paper suite!

Whale Bones Hang Above Wedding Reception Long Table at Telegraph Cove by Masika May PhotographyThe entire venue highlights the past history of the area and the vintage feel spilled over into the reception details. The guests sat at long tables covered in floral and greenery from the scenery on Salt Spring Island. The tiniest of glass vases held ferns while larger glass vases held moss, ferns, blue thistle and other local flora and fauna. The usual guest book was replaced by hanging art which friends and family were happy to sign.

Wedding Guest West Coast Signing Board on Vancouver IslandWe especially love the sign which held Kim and Darren’s wonderful photos of their relationship. This is such a good idea for your guests to ‘catch up’ on your romance. Seaside Romance at Telegraph Cove was a dream come true for newlyweds Darren and Kim – and an inspiration for all couples looking to have a true west coast wedding.
