Stylish Southwest Wedding Inspiration in Cowichan Valley! The stylish setting of the ever evolving landscape of Vancouver Island’s Wine District showcases talented local wedding influencers. The original idea came during a hike in the dying days of summer and noticing the neutral palette of the sun baked grass, sagey greens and the golden sunset evoked the feelings of the Southwest.
Muted colours and hazy atmosphere play among the pops of rich jewel tones to create this intimate sunset elopement look. We love the eclectic mix of fabrics, foliage and textures that showcase the beauty of Cowichan Valley. Cushions, footstools, and cactus litter the landscape around the couple including a peacock fan highback rattan chair covered in greenery. The tablescape features robins egg blue flatware and dishes along with vintage candlesticks. An amazing use of colourful foods allows for some astonishing ring photos (figs, lemons and grapes!) and décor.
The naked cake features beautiful flowers and fruit in a field setting and surrounded by antique glass and unique decor. The floral provides the visual surprise with white pampas grass, succulents, yellow and burgundy dahlias and beautiful greenery choices. The bridal hat filled with floral is one of the best things in this inspiration palette!
The gorgeous bride shines in a lace crop top with a perfect ‘twirly’ skirt. The braided hair and natural makeup complete the boho bridal style. Her groom complements perfectly in his grey/blue ensemble with suspenders and bow tie. 
Not to be forgotten is the macramé backdrop with bohemian rugs that inspire the ceremony. There is even a rug down the ‘aisle’! It is obvious why we chose this shoot to be featured in the 2020 Vancouver Island West Coast Weddings Magazine.
