Truvelle 2021 Bridal Collection is, once again, a beautiful example of local creativity and so much pretty. The Vancouver based design company is thrilled to present their collection this year which honors past brides and promotes inclusion.

Since its founding in 2013, Truvelle is a brand that listens to its brides. The line was initially created as an alternative to traditional wedding wear, being one of the first “indie” bridal brands. Every year, the design process starts by reflecting on insights from real brides and retailers. This year was no different — in this collection you’ll see Truvelle classics like bold and unique laces, with dazzling new features like squared necklines, champagne lining, and pearl fabric.

And in the spirit of honoring brides, what better way to do so than to name a collection after them? Truvelle asked some of its top retailers to nominate an exceptional bride — someone with a backstory who made a lasting impression on them. There were so many amazing ones, but the choices were narrowed down to 8 and turned into namesake dresses. Some of their stories include living with a disability, recovering from a life altering injury, and training young women in self-defense. Each year, Truvelle dresses have been named after exceptional women — team members, retailers, friends and family of designer Gaby, and this year is no different.

Another deep seeded part of Truvelle is the topic of inclusion. Founder and creative director Gaby Bayona has always aimed to create a diverse and inclusive community within her company. This year, Truvelle is the first bridal brand to use a trans model for their e-commerce photos – honoring the LGBTQ community.

The Truvelle 2021 Bridal Collection will be online and around the world once again and offers sizes ranging from 0 – 26. So much appreciation to this British Columbia bridal company for all their work and beauty for the West Coast bride!
